Salt Lake City, UT—During halftime of the Utah Jazz vs. New Orleans Pelicans game on the evening of Friday, April 4th, Washakie Renewable Energy and the Utah Jazz awarded 13 graduate and undergraduate students from the University of Utah College of Engineering with the 2014 Kingston Energy Scholarship.  These scholarships, totaling $50,000, were awarded based on academic performance as well as demonstrated interest in the energy sector.  The list of recipients includes:  Bethany Cox, Blake Wayment, Brandon Hill, Collin Sjobeck, Cyrus Jordan, David Brimley, Jeff Huber, Matthew Hamilton, Megan Walsh, Nathan Hamilton, Peter Creveling, Russell Reid , and Samuel Doane.

Funds for the 2014 Kingston Energy Scholarship were raised through “Points in the Paint”, a program where Washakie Renewable Energy and the Utah Jazz each contribute $5 to the Kingston Energy Scholarship Fund for every point made in the paint by the Utah Jazz during the 2013-14 season.
